Interesting concept that fueled this clock in lemon juice. It was designed by Anna Gram studio to remind us that despite the various changes it undergoes through our own fault, Nature remains our main source of energy. Like most current batteries, the clock runs on the principle of electrolytic zinc and copper. The oxidation turns the liquid into electricity.
