SNCF testing among a sample of 1000 customers a new payment system. No more e-tickets printed at home or papers issued at the counter. This USB key called Smart ID Weneo by Neowave partner company, is equipped with an RFID chip or without actual contact.
So you can reload your card by adding money from your home computer. Then, by presenting the key to a controller or to a terminal before taking your train, it will automatically be charged for an amount equivalent to the price of the ticket. "
If this test is successful then the payment will be offered to all customers by 2010 SNCF.
