Last weekend, W3sh crossed the Channel to cover the Best of Stuff Show 2005, an exhibition dedicated to gadgets of all kinds. In addition, it was organized by the English magazine Stuff that is well known for its small bimbos half effeuillées. Bimbos and gadgets? That was enough for more than we found in the Eurostar towards the Novotel London.
This exhibition has special significance for W3sh, for the simple reason that this fà "tl'occasion for us to launch our service video podcasting (or videocasting)!
In this first video podcast, there is a brief overview of the exhibition of certain products. Here are the highlights:
- The Zen Sleek Creative Labs: direct competitor to the iPod Photo, the Zen Sleek is nevertheless a little lighter and smaller than its competitor. It has a capacity of 20GB and an OLED display of beauty. The Zen Sleek also incorporates FM tuner and supports standard PlaySure Microsoft for a perfect sync with Windows Media Player.
- Capacity: 20GB
- Dimensions: 59 x 157g for 101x17.1mm
- Overlay Lithium Ion Battery & USB port
- Compatible: MP3: up to 320 kbps, WAV: up to 48 kHz, 16-bit, Stereo / Mono, WMA: up to 320 kbps (DRM)
- Recording formats: Micro: IMA ADPCM (16 kHz, Mono), FM tuner: IMA ADPCM (22 kHz Stereo)

- Fujifilm FinePix Z1: Stuff Magazine elected this APN among the 10 products of 2005. It is understandable why. The FinePix Z1 is super beautiful, but in the category 5M pixels, I prefer the Sony T7.
- ETA ³ n P7131 Porsche DAB radio: What's better than a digital radio (DAB) designed by Porsche Design? It also likes the retro side buttons. Nice!
- Numark PT01 portable turntable: This is probably the iPod DJs. This portable DJ table will delight all Daft Punk herb.
- Bluetooth Virtual Keyboard ITech: The concept of infrared projection of a virtual keyboard on a flat surface is not very recent. But this is the first time transmission of the text to the mobile device via Bluetooth. I hate son. I am a Evangist Wireless, but in certain situations, it seems more relevant and natural not to separate the trinome Vision / Capture / Display. I tried several of these keyboards and frankly I could not enter text by more than 5 lines with this technology.
- The Oculi: One of the coolest objects of the show. Created by designer Lee McCormack and developed by engineers of the McLaren F1 team, the Oculi is a dynamic platform that allows a total immersion in a multimedia experience. He has served to promote the movie "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy".
- Commodore Navigator: Commodore was the star of 80's years with Amstrad before disparaà ® tre slowly as an old dinausore sick. Nonetheless, it is Commodore is now set his return to a portable media player with integrated GPS .... I knew this was coming quickly, and Commodore has understood. The Navigator Combo includes a 30GB HD, a touch screen, 3.6 inches and supports audio formats such as MP3 and WMA. This device runs on Windows CE and can play well on video DIVX and MPEG-4. Finally, it transfers files via its USB 2.0 connection or SD slot. As against when we arrived on the stand, the two demos came from grilling because of a bad connection ... bad.
